What is Calculosaurus?

Calculosaurus aims to improve care in women's health through the development and provision of free clinical calculators. Launched in January 2017, Calculosaurus was founded to fill a gap in clinical calculator provision -  although there are many clinical calculator providers in other areas of medicine, so far women's health has been somewhat neglected. Despite the paucity of available resources, there are many situations in O&G where clinical calculators are useful, helping to reduce error and simplify arduous calculations.

The founder of Calculosaurus, Sam Mathewlynn, is a trainee registrar in obstetrics and gynaecology in the Oxford Deanery, UK. Calculosaurus is run on a voluntary basis and does not generate any financial profit for those involved.

There are a number of ways in which you can support this project. See below for some suggestions!

Make a donation

Our medical calculators are developed by volunteers and made available for free, and it's very important to us that they remain so. Unfortunately there are some costs associated with maintaining the website, and any contributions towards our running costs are gratefully received. If you've found these resources useful, and especially if you use them frequently, then please click here to make a donation. Thank you!

Contribute content

If you have the coding skills to produce a calculator yourself and would like to contribute content to the website then contact us for more information.

Request content

By telling us what you would find useful you can help us develop content for the website. If you can think of a calculator you need, or something that might be of benefit to others, tell us about it here - we'll make it for free and add it to the website.

Raise awareness

We want to be the go-to source for clinical calculators in obstetrics and gynaecology and so raising awareness of this project is extremely helpful. We are active on both Facebook and Twitter so please like and tweet about us!
